I designed an instructional visual on the topic of Work-Life Balance by implementing the ACE Model for design. I analyzed the purpose of the visual and then alternated between creating and evaluating in order to make improvements. I enhanced the layout (using an efficient table format), the colors (using appealing contrast), and the content (using effective graphics and text).
I designed and developed an Excel Essentials eLearning course using the Tell-Show-Do-Review method to enable learners to turn large datasets into useful information. Each lesson provides clear instruction (Tell), video demonstrations (Show), hands-on practice opportunities (Do), and transfer-focused reflection prompts with summative assessments (Review). Downloadable job aids provide quick reference support. The course uses accessibility and inclusive design best practices following WCAG and UDL guidelines.
I designed a gamified company policies training incorporating elements of freedom to fail and rapid feedback by immediately informing the user if an answer was incorrect and giving unlimited opportunities to attempt questions. Progression and storytelling elements were incorporated by using a choose-your-own-adventure style of flow and prompting users to unlock certain elements before completing the final challenge. These elements made the training engaging and motivated the user by providing increased challenge at appropriate times.
I applied Mayer's Principles of Multimedia Learning to create a remote workplace safety training. An AI-generated voiceover used a friendly human voice (voice) and conversational style (personalization) to promote social connection and create a comfortable environment. The visuals and audio were presented simultaneously (temporal contiguity). The training was broken into sections, encouraging the learner to reflect before moving on at their own pace (segmenting).
